This is the night when Almighty Allah subhan-o-talla handed over angles all the decessions regading birth death,earnigs,food and fate of all humanbeings for the next one year.

This night starts after salat-ul-Asar on14th of shaban (in pakistan it will be monday the 21st october this year)

Generally these decessions have been handed over and angles changes their duties between salat-ul-Asar and salat-ul-maghrib,the true muslims and momins try to pass this precious time in praying.  before  sun set  i-e call of Mugrib azan the following holy verses is recited 40 times repeatidly.Almighty Allah subhan-o-talla forgives 40 years sins who does this act.

RECITE KEEPING WAZOO
""WA-- LA-- HOOLA-- WA-- LA-- QUVATA-- ILLA BILLA-- ALE-- UL AZEEM"""
According to sunna beloved prophet syedna Muhammad sallalla ho alli hi wasalam used to observe swam (roza/fast) on 14th and 15th of shaban. Try to spend whole the night in worship. it is very valuable night. generally number of different type of salat-ul-nafil are described in different books to offer in this night. they all are no doubt correct and very fruitful but it is better if we all try to pay ourr QAZA salat -ul-faraz, with the good intention that we would never qaza our faraz salat in future.People like me who have a heavy load of qaza salat on our back ,i think it is adviseable to release such load as much as we can during this holy night.

Their is a salat which is called SALAT-UL-TASBEEH is very important one and beloved prophet syedna Muhammad sallalla ho allihi wasalam said try to offer this salat daily.if not possible, offer it weekly.if not possible weekly,offer monthly. if in a month you can not offer this salat,offer it yearly.if it is not possible yearly, you must offer this salat ONCE IN LIFE. so it is chance to offer this salat in this night of shaban.

METHOD OF SALA-UL-TASBEEH
I.Say Allah-o-Aber and recite SANA then recite  15 times 3rd kalma

2.recite SURA FATHIA and any sura then recite 10times 3rd kalma
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.go in ruku
 say 3times subhan -rabial azeem then   recite   10 times 3rd kalma

4.again stand and
 say rabana lakal hamad and then recite              10 times 3rd kalma
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.go in first sijda and
say 3 times subhan-rabial alla and then recite     10 times 3rd kalma
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6.sitting between to sujuood recite                      10 times 3rd kalma
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.go in second sijda and recite 3 times
subhan-e-rabial alla and then       recite               10 times 3rd kalma

75  times 3rd kalma in one raka.
  IMPORTANT TO NOTE 

1. Like this in all 4 rakat 3rd kalma is recited.

2 .it makes total 300 times 3rd kalma in whole 4
   raka salat.

3. In 2nd, 3rd and,4th raka, before starting to recite  SURA FATIHA recite 3rd kalma 15 times and after sura fatha and any other sura recite 10 times. BE CONFIRM YOU HAVE TO RECITE 3RD  KALMA 25 TIMES AS WHOLE IN STANDING POSTURE (qiyam) 3RD KALMA
