RUKN-E-YEMENI..

1 .  In one corner of Kaba, Hajr-e-Asvad is fixed and the rest of the three corners have their names. second one is called Rukn-e-Shami, third one is Rukn-e-Iraqi and the last one is called Rukn-e-Yemeni.
2 .  after the corner of Hajra-e-Asvad, corner of Rukn-e-Yemeni is the most important and spiritual. People touch this corner with sprit during "Tawaf".

3 .  Walking around kaba during "Tawaf" pilgrims may beg "Duas" what they  wish in their own language, but from this corner to the corner of "Hajra-e-Asvad"  everyone has to recite a compulsory "Dua" in arabic.

Akhirat-e-- Hasana Waqena Azabun-Nar.Wa-ad-Khilnal
        Janata-Ma-Al-abrar. Ya Aziz-o-Ya Ghaffar,
                    Ya Rab-al-Alameen."

4. Pilgrims may touch their palms on this corner wall of holy kaba.


BERE-ZAM ZAM (well of holy water)-
Pilgrims Quench thirst with Zam Zam

1 .  In "Mutaf", a few steps in front of "Multazim" there is the greatest Well of "ZAM ZAM" Water. In the bottom of rough mountains, the discovery of such a delicious water is a great wonder  for the people of the whole world. This well is still alive and giving healthy water since thousands of years. zam zam Well is situated in "Mutaf" and after the modern construction of masjid-ul-haram, it has been covered by a marble slab and a black circle is drawn over it which indicates the exact place where Little Innocent Ismail (Allaihi Salaam) rubbed his heels on the earth because of intense thirst and by the order of Almighty Allah the water started to run out from the deserted land of makkah.

2. According to another school of thoughts it is said that the holy angel Jibrael allihi salam came by the order of Almighty Allah and he hit the land by his strong wings near little Ismael allihi salam and zam zam started to run. Water came out in such a flow that syeda hajra, mother of little prophet syedna Ismael allihi salam, shouted  jam jam or zam zam. Meaning of these two words are "stop stop". Because of this shout of syeda Hajira raddiAllah-o-talla anha,this holy water is called zam zam.

3 .  After modern construction, the actual well of "Zam Zam" is now under the surface of "Mutaf" and the people has to go  in basement where a number of Basins are fixed for faithful to quench their thirst with "Zam Zam" Water. The under ground "Zam Zam" water area, is divided into two parts. One for Ladies and other one for Gents. Men and women  zam zam enclosures are marked "zam zam Rijal" and "zam zam Nisa" respectively. in arabic Rijal means men and Nisa means woman. In the dead end of the under ground water area, there is the original Well, which is now covered  by a glass wall and  well can not be seen. IIt is to be noted that in year 2003, the basement of zam zam has been closed and now pilgrims can not go in basement.Reason of covering this basement is to increase the capacity of faithful in mutaf ,involved in tawaf. Now pilgrims drink zam zam from coolers [dispenser]  which  have been  placed in HARAM every where.

4.  The source of this well is in skies. no body can discover its dead end. Zam zam in the world and Kausar in the heaven are two water  pounds/well which are coming right from Arsh-e-ellahi (Sky of Allah subhan-o-talla). It is a complete diet and must be drunk in excessive quantity. According to sunnah the general and common  water must be drunk having to be seated. drinking of water in standing position is strictly prohibited in islamic rules but as far as zam zam is concerned it  should be drunk in standing position. perhaps it is ordered just for respect.

5. In  masjid-ul-haram a number of cream coloured water coolers are kept through out the mosque. After every 3 or 4 chilled zam zam water you find a cooler of plain (unchilled) zamzam .Though the zam zam well is in makkah but  a systematic arrangement  has been made  to carry this water daily to madina for the pilgrims in masjid-e nabvi. pilgrims feel no scarcity of zam zam in makkah and even in madina.

6. In makkah free water tapes are installed  out side haram between baba-e fatha and bab-e-umra. Pilgrims may fill their jerkins (pots or coolers)  here to bring zam zam to their respective homelands. During  the stay in makkah and madina pilgrims may fill their bottles with zam zam  for their daily use from the coolers in haram.

The History of Zamzam
According to Arab historians, the Zamzam Well, except for a few periods when it became dry or was buried under sand, has been in use for around 4000 years. The well marks the site of a spring that, miraculously, had issued forth from a barren and desolate wadi (non perennial stream) where the Abraham, under Allah's command, had left his wife Hagar and their infant son Ishmael. Prophet Abraham settled his family there as part of God's mission for him.

Many traditions believe that the Zamzam well was to provide Hagar and Ishmael with water in the hot, dry valley they were in. In her desperate search for water, Hagar ran seven times back and forth in the scorching heat between the two hills of Safa and Marwa to provide for her baby who was dying of thirst. She was searching for it while watching at her son and would run whenever she could not see Ishmael.

According to Islamic religion, God then sent the Angel Gabriel, who scraped the ground, causing the spring to appear. On finding the spring, and fearing that it might run out of water, Hagar enclosed it in sand and stones. The name Zamzam originates from the phrase "zomë-zomë", meaning "stop flowing", a command repeated by Hagar during her attempt to contain the spring water. The area around the spring, which was later converted to a well, became a resting place for caravans, and eventually grew into the trading city of Mecca, birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad.

The well of Zamzam retained its importance in later generations. The grandfather of the Prophet Muhammad, Abdul Muttalib, was honored with the responsibility of taking care of the well and the pilgrims to Mecca.
